Background and History
COLISO received the official registration as a non-profit organisation according to the Legal framework in Ghana in August 2011. It was later recognised as an NGO by the Department of Social Welfare since October the same year. COLISO started its activities since 2009 when its current board Chairman through his own efforts constructed a toilet facility for the people of Akim Ayirebi. Its major focus is to improve the lives of the rural population in Ghana. Most of them are deprived of basic essential services such as good education and quality health. They lack social guarantees in live such as income, employment and basic services as they are unable to exercise their social, economic and political rights.
