AKIM SWEDRU SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GETS ADDITIONAL WATER SYSTEM

Students of Akim Swedru Senior High School in the Eastern Region of Ghana have been provided with additional water system to supplement the inadequate water supply in the school. The water project was funded by the LIZA for Ghana Fund, a Non-Governmental organization in Belgium, supported by the School’s Old Students association

and implemented by COLISO Ghana has been completed, commissioned and handed over to the school authority on December 8, 2016. The commissioning ceremony was performed by the President of Ghana Council Belgium, Mr Kwaku Boamah Acheampong whilst the handing over was done by the President of the Old Students Association (Annuanom), Rev. Adu Okoree West Akim Presbytery Chairman of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana

During the commissioning, Mr Acheampong expressed the hope that the school would make maximum use of the water supply system and urged the school authorities to maintain the facility

He explained that the gesture was in memory of the daughter of the founder of LIZA Fund, Mr Greens Georges who suddenly died in Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana some years back at the time she was doing her voluntary service in Ghana

The headmaster of the school, Mr Michael Dawonu thanked LIZA Fund, COLISO Ghana and members of the Old Students Association for their kind gesture
