  The Citizens of Akim Kotokuom (near Akim Oda) in the Eastern Region of Ghana will henceforth enjoy quality drinking water and improved hygiene. This was made possible through the Provision of Potable Water and Proper Sanitation for Four Rural Communities project initiated by the Community Livelihoods Support Organisation COLISO with its Belgian partners.The project partners are the Fund for Development Cooperation FOS, the Flemish Community Government, the City of Antwerp, The Water Company TMVW WaterLink and the Ghanaian Community in Belgium through their umbrella organization Ghana Council Belgium.

presentation of donated health itemsThe City of Antwerp in collaboration with Okyeman Union in Belgium through community Livelihood Support Organization (COLISO) a Non Governmental organization in Ghana have donated health equipment to Akim Gyadam community health centre.

5As part of promoting good health, Coliso Ghana is contributing enormously towards this development in raising the health standards of rural communities to the apex.

Coliso project are Comprehensive in nature as infrastructural developments are coupled with extensive health education program. A recent event organized by Coliso was the health education and screening event at Ayirebi community, where about 500 people were educated on hygiene practices and also given free health screening on eye, blood pressure, body mass index, tuberculosis and many more. People are assessed to this effect as to how they apply the impacted knowledge in their endeavors through health committees set up in every community Coliso partners. This in a way, helps to promote and ensure consistent good health practices.
